In College English I & II, the teaching of English Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening are integrated. The overall aim of the courses is for students to be able to understand and use vocabulary, sentences and frequently used expressions related to their daily lives. By the end of the course, they should be able to perform routine daily tasks, such as shopping, exchanging personal and family information, and getting around in an English speaking environment.
These courses also aim to raise students’ awareness of the role of English in their future academic or professional lives. They aim to help them to develop positive attitudes towards the learning of English, foster confidence in their ability to learn English successfully, and learn skills and strategies which will enable them to continue learning independently after the courses have concluded
